Splitting Documents (Standard)

While reviewing scanned documents, you can split a multi-page document into multiple documents using one of the following features.

Create Document feature

This feature pulls a single page out of a document and moves it to a new, separate document. ClosedGive me an example.

Using Create Document

  1. Select a document in the Scanning Explorer Pane.
  2. Navigate to a page using the and buttons on the Display Pane's Navigation toolbar.
  3. Click the button. The new document will appear in the Scanning Explorer Pane.

Note: You can also create a document from a page by selecting the page in the Thumbnails pane, right-clicking and choosing Create Document.

Split Document feature

This feature pulls one or more pages out of a document and moves them to a new, separate document. ClosedGive me an example.

Using Split Document

  1. Select a document in the Scanning Explorer Pane.
  2. Navigate to a page using the and buttons on the Display Pane's Navigation toolbar.
  3. Click the button. The displayed page, and all following pages, will be used to create the new document. The new document will appear in the Scanning Explorer Pane.

Note: You can also split a document by selecting the first page of the new document in the Thumbnails pane, right-clicking and choosing Split Document.

Tip: When you have finished reviewing and modifying documents, store them in a Laserfiche repository
